For the last eight years, I have been a stay-at-home mom. Before motherhood, I was pursuing an education in nursing. After becoming a mother, I decided to fully immerse myself in motherhood and follow my husband around the country as a military wife.

 

Three children later, and two deployments, I decided that I needed to rediscover who I was and what I desired, and I knew that education was first on my list. The last several years have been challenging and invigorating. I first attended a junior college, Temple College, and received an associate's degree in General Studies. I then transferred my credits to Colorado State University, where I have been pursuing a degree in journalism and media communication.

This field could not be further from a degree in nursing. However, one characteristic that has remained consistent throughout my adulthood journey is my creative desire to draw, write, design, and transform. I find interest in all things creative and imaginative.

I enjoy the technical and complex challenges of Photoshop and Lightroom. The transformative process of media work in the post-production stage is my favorite. I want to prioritize my interest, including dipping my hand in each pot to see which career path best suits and fulfills my aspirations.

I aim to become more familiar with freelance photography and Adobe products to utilize these talents in my current and future endeavors.
