This article interview was an assignment for my online storytelling and audience engagement course at Colorado State University. To accomplish this article, I had to arrange a meeting with the interviewee, ask thoughtful questions regarding her experience and journey, understand the ins and outs of her business and warehouse, research, prepare, and actively listen.
The medium blogs were created and written for my online storytelling and audience engagement course at Colorado State University. The skillsets I needed to write these blogs were: brainstorming, researching, developing thoughtful questions, interpersonal communication in the interview portion, creating engaging content, picking or capturing relevant imagery, and crafting an irresistible headline and blog.

End of The Year Reflection
Online storytelling & audience engagement has been such a stimulating experience. In the last sixteen weeks as a Colorado State University student, I have had many opportunities in JTC 326 to test my creative abilities through challenging assignments that required transforming ideas into content and storytelling, keeping in mind how they could appeal to an audience.

I had the pleasure of interviewing an Instagram nano influencer and artistic home renovator via email, Lauren Baker. Baker is a 26-year-old from Mid-Michigan and a financial analyst at the State of Michigan with a master’s in public administration from Central Michigan University. Aside from her academic accomplishments and exceptional credentials, Baker has been living out her design dream with DIY budget-friendly home improvements for more than seven years. What started as painting her room as a senior in high school evolved into more challenging and complicated renovations during her college career.
